Tranmere Rovers F.C. - Tranmere Rovers Football Club is a professional association football club based in Birkenhead, Merseyside, England. The team compete in League Two, the fourth tier of the English football league system. Founded in 1884 as Belmont Football Club, they adopted their current name in 1885. Prenton - Prenton is a suburb of Birkenhead, Merseyside, England. Administratively, it is also a ward of the Metropolitan Borough of Wirral. Before local government reorganisation on 1 April 1974, it was part of the County Borough of Birkenhead, within the county of Cheshire. Situated in the east of the Wirral Peninsula, the area is contiguous with Oxton to the north, Tranmere and Rock Ferry to the east and Higher Bebington to the south east. Prenton Brook - Prenton Brook is a tributary of the River Fender, in Wirral, Merseyside. The brook starts as field drainage east of Thingwall and flows through Barnston Dale. Prenton Brook joins the River Fender at Prenton. The River Fender then joins the Birket at Leasowe. The Birket discharges into the West Float at the site of the former Wallasey Pool, which itself discharges into the River Mersey. Prenton Brook is about 2 miles 3.2 km long.
Prenton Golf Club - Prenton Golf Club is a golf club to the south of Prenton, Merseyside, England. Prenton Golf Club was established in 1905 and was designed by the famous golf architect of his time James Braid. The course is a scenic parkland course of 6,457 yards and has held many a Cheshire Union County fixture and tournament over its illustrious history. The course has views to the west across the Wirral Peninsula with the Welsh mountains in the distance %E2%80%93 and yet it is located close to the cities of Liverpool and Chester.
Prenton Park - Prenton Park is an association football stadium in Birkenhead, England. It is the home ground of Tranmere Rovers, as well as Liverpool s women and reserves teams. The ground has had several rebuilds, with the most recent occurring in 1995 in response to the requirement of the Taylor Report to become all-seater. Today s stadium holds 15,573 in four stands: the Kop, the Johnny King Stand, the Main Stand and the Cowshed for away supporters .%0AAttendances at the ground have fluctuated over its hundred-year history. Its largest-ever crowd was 24,424 for a 1972 FA Cup match between Tranmere and Stoke City. In 2010, an average of 5,000 fans attended each home game.
