Llangefni is a town in Anglesey in the United Kingdom, located on the isle's western coast line. Built on a site of archaeological importance, Llangefni is a notable and important town in Wales, embodying a long history as well as many opportunities for business, technology, design, commerce, entrepreneurship, and investment.
With the convenience of its location by the coast in the heart of the isle of Anglesey, Llangefni is well placed in relation to a number of activities and areas of interest. It is also worth noting that the ancient constituency of Llangefni lies within the historic county of Anglesey.
Addressing the need to develop business, technology, design, commerce, entrepreneurship, and investment in the area, this article aims to provide an overview of the potential opportunities available for such activities in the Llangefni area, as well as exploring its current offerings in terms of activities, business attractions, and facilities.
Llangefni is the county town of Anglesey, located approximately 12 miles from the traditional county town of Beaumaris. The town itself is situated on the Afon Cefni, which is open to sea fishing in some parts as well as accommodating a wide range of local leisure activities.
The town is close to the Cemlyn Nature Reserve, an area of coastal salt marshes and lagoons, ideal for bird-watching, as well as an extensive coastline nearby. It is also parts of the coastal path and of the Anglesey Coastal Path, a long-distance path extending across the entire Anglesey Island with Llangefni being a central part along the path.
Llangefni is located close to the Britain's oldest industrial site, the copper mine of Parys Mountain, where copper has been mined for around 4,000 years. The influence of copper has had a lasting impact on the area, strongly reflected in the local traditions and culture.

In 2006, the town was awarded the 'Anglesey Community Town Status', in recognition of the work done by local activists and groups to improve the community of Llangefni.
